This Sabbath School study slowly advanced the theme of Atonement into diverse segments.

One segment connects the ritual to the Bible hero, Job.  How can his life trauma become a stitch in an Atonement-theological blanket?  Such is perplexing!  You recall, Satan assailed Job’s fidelity to Christ by claiming that he did not legitimately fear Christ.  But you ask, should not fear be regarded as a diminution of Job’s faith?  This audio study shows one emotion compliments the other making fear and faith identical twins needed to walk by the Spirit.  Without this walk, you cannot be part of the community of disciples available to participate in Atonement.  Job’s fear of Christ was to the utmost because of His faith: He feared the consequences of disappointing the Lord because he knew that He was more powerful than any other force, including Satan, and such fear would win protection for his house that Satan could not reverse.  Such was proven by Job’s loyalty in the face of Satan’s torment, and this discredited Satan’s accusations.  The Atonement ritual rewards man for standing alone in honor of Christ: This force of faith by fear compels men to courageously confess their sins without fear of any social consequences.

Another lesson of atonement is derived from the much-discussed message of Mal two, the cursing of the Lord’s blessing formerly endowed to Davidia.  The Atonement connection stems from the notion that Jesus slays the Bullock Sin Offering.  He formerly ordained the Adventist ministry, and Davidia was the highest outpost of that ordination.  Their greatest blessing was vested in their unimpeachable acuity in theology: None could challenge their wisdom, and this was their blessing that was removed or cursed.  Why, because they rejected Christ, the separate personality who clandestinely rested on and spoke through Jesus.  Such is the reason why Christ, with Jesus’ approval, has dissolved their refined strength of doctrine, their king-of-the-hill standing in the world.  Manifestly then, just as men ran from Davidians yesterday to conceal their ignorance, just so do Davidians now likewise hide from the Mustard Seed Adventists today.  They run likewise out of the fear that their ignorance will be exposed before their supplicant students erasing the lofty stature of their perceived honor as teachers.

A final lesson in need of reverberation pertains to the Burnt —not the Sin— Offering.  It shows that the expression, burning, points to a symbolic and figurative meaning: that of torment from being snared in holes, robbed and spoiled, preyed upon and imprisoned.  This experience depicted the 400-year trauma of the sons of America’s former slaves proving them to be the Lord’s Burnt Offering.  It applies to them and no others because, being Jerusalem, they sold themselves for naught so that now they may be redeemed without money.  In other words, unlike a Mob crime boss seeking financial gain, instead of sinning for gain in the same motivation; instead, they plotted for and received no reward of remuneration in their apostacy.

A question that required reflection was asked in the aftermath: Joshua, the high priest who is to emerge shall so do from the ranks of which people, Davidian or nominal Adventist or some other affiliation?  Please join us as we explore the answer to this question..

I look forward to you joining us in the next session on December 6th, 2025
