
Eph 4: 11-14
Excerpt:…forsook Christ and came to me for light. Good thing then that the son of David, the quintessential Jew, will appear before counsel to give, quote, “ a testimony against them and the Gentiles” close quote hidden in Paul’s inspiration he warned the church of this Jewish obstacle which challenges Christian maturation. He said, “He gave some apostles, some prophets, some pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith … 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” —Eph 4: 11-14. Who lies in wait to deceive? In Paul’s days the gentiles had no evangelical zeal to convert Christians: the opposite ruled that day. None had enough Bible gravity to challenge Christians with cunningly crafted deceptions, only the apostate Jews. In fact they enjoyed a step up: Before Calvary, they already infiltrated gentile governments: Daniel is a case in point! Until Christianity, only Jews knew of the Bible. Then, by masterful evangelism of the disciples and Paul, it became honored to gentiles as a precious book of God. The trick then was, by sleight of hand, they connive naïve gentiles that they, the pharisaical Jews —not Christians— are the favored of God. Pointing to the newly-venerated Bible as a reference source, they claim, “..we are the people honored therein; we are the favored of God; accept our wisdom; initiate in our lodges, and you can share with us, god’s high exultation…
