Isaiah 56:7

Excerpt:…David had a very noble ambition that Christ refused. He wanted more than the first dominion! He wanted to build a house for the Lord’s name. Having built for himself a luxurious home, out of stupidity, guilt haunted him because he gave no equal expenditure to Christ. Such was a barrier between His wisdom and Christ’s will: Dwelling in the tents of His people was never an insult for Christ. His passion was not to live in a dark pyramid: It was to restore men in a unified church of people, He says as much, in, “ Isa 56:  for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” —Isaiah 56: 7. Shiloh, Jacob’s son through Judah, then Jesse, then David, then Zerubbabel, then Joseph —I shan’t name them all— suffice it to say, plus a 100 generations following unto my father, Gilbert, he was to engendered the mustard seed, the son of David whose mission it is to build for Christ a house in His, Christ’s name. “Unto Him shall the gathering of the people be.” This is the Glory of the Lord! David then suffered by ignorance of the Lord’s identity, but when the Lord’s identity is revealed; it will defeat Satan before the universe. Thinking from David’s literal mentality, how could he, 1000 years before Jesus, erect any building to honor the Lord? Would a taller pyramid devoid of modern architecture, again as a house built by David’s hand — a house without climate control or ventilation, no electricity or indoor plumbing etc— yield anything but embarrassment for Christ and also David in the day of his, David’s resurrection, especially in view of modern day engineering!?…
