John 5: 30-32

 

Excerpt:…You also must realize the original plan: It was to create man in Christ’s likeness, and to give him a throne of dominion. Now Christ must restore the likeness of God in earth’s eternal ruler. (more of this will be explained in part II, but for now) To honor Christ’s name then means to at least reveal this aspect of His identity before the curse of sin hit the universe. Today, only such an ambition is possible, the day of man’s victory over stupidity. Of Christ culpability, He said: “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. 32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true” —John 5: 30-32. Thereby in so conducting Himself, He sacrifices His own image to protect Father’s greater image.
