We can finish the quote from1 Chron 28.“ But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood 4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for … among the sons of my father he liked me …” —1Chron 28: 3-4. Now you can see, as grandiose as it may sound, the nomination to be the eternal King over Israel was only a consolation prize for David. But comprehension of David’s higher ambition, still alludes the Church. This is because his descendant son will orchestrate the 2nd Sinai: Meaning the very words of Christ that were muffled by proverbs and parables when Jesus uttered them will today be plainly explained; thus, as Christ honored the Law and so concealed Himself in Jesus, the same transaction will be with the son of David. This return will be the glorious day when “ 2 the Sun of righteousness (arises) with healing in his wings…” Through Jesus, it was given moderately according to Joel two; yet, Jesus did more than any other prophet and did so in a short time: He healed the sick, raised the dead, calmed the storms, fed the hungry, etc, glories David never exhibited; still such were miracles that successfully converted throngs of obtuse gentiles…
