Psalm 58: 10-11
Excerpt:…For you to receive the next stanza of the Battle Hymn. Remember God hath given —not just to David but to also his son— a light forever. Therefore, clarity can only come to you from a stalwart Davidian who is raised in the last day, exalted from being down or from world denunciation, hatred. Concerning our rejoice, he said, “ Ps 58: 10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.” —Ps 58: 10-11. !!Wash his feet in the blood of the wicked! — what a grotesque expression if construed to be literal. Explained by none other until now, such is proof that we need the light of Israel to decipher the metaphor. First though, I answer the question, What defilement have we as Adventists stepped in that others of lesser Christian maturation avoided requiring a foot washing? Significant indeed is this question because Christ ordained such a ritual for His disciples. It is called the ordinance of humility; it is the terms of our partnership with Him. And again, we carefully obey His Words. The answer then, only now revealed, is found in our ascendency. Doctrinal growth gave us our humility: We were tarnished by the ridicule of each step. Since 1844, the Christian world has sullied our path while, at the same time, they have not so humiliated themselves. They took no advancing steps to the Kingdom; thus, their feet avoided the mire of our abiding ridicule. Even down to this very study, the strong meat doctrine of judgment, has won for us hatred. Proof, look how so many find Father’s words appalling when taken to heart by the saints. The notion that Father has appointed the son of David to rearticulate His words, as you now witness, and that He, that son, will judge men, makes them all nauseated with disgust. The son of man cannot find faith on earth…
