1Kings 8: 1-9

The Bible proves that Zion represents the small collection of saints who cherish the very articles installed in the Lord’s ark, the law and His testimony. That legally defined box both literal and —we shall see— symbolically defines human salvation. The house of its original setting was called Zion. It was a special locale in Jerusalem, special because its home was the seat of David’s throne in the time when the Lord abode with David. Today it symbolizes the SDA Church, which is also the seat of David’s throne before his house is to be magnified. Solomon then was chosen to express this symbolism about the quintessential son of David, by virtue that he, Solomon, was also David’s literal son. Afterall, The Lord said that, ‘David … may always have a light before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen … to put my name there.’ Let’s then read the exactness of the symbolism: “ Then Solomon assembled the elders[not everyone but the elders, repeat] Then Solomon assembled the eldersof Israel, and all the heads of the tribes … in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion … 6 And the priests [who? Not the elders nor Solomon but the priests, (repeat)] And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto… the most holy place… 6 … even under the wings of the cherubims. 7 For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark… 9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb …” —1Kings 8: 1-9. First we note, the two tables of stone, the 10 commandments, were the only objects in the Ark and this after 500 years from Sinai to that date of Solomon’s temple blessing. This fact proves the symbolic point of the entire Temple inauguration: that it was given as a narrative to show Kingdom entry today. Exod 25 (scrolling) certifies this point: After giving the Commandments, Christ, referring to the Testimony of Jesus, promised the Sinai church that He —not Moses— will install His testimony within the Ark. It was a Testimony only to be given 1000 years after Solomon’s temple. This fact renders every other etiquette of that ceremony to also become an abstract narrative of symbolism including the very procession of the Ark…
