Eph 4: 11-14

Excerpt:... As we now see, prophetic authority is given to humanity as God’s booster rockets to elevate the church to Him. And this finding is in harmony with the Duet 18’s Law of prophetic revelations. But preparatory to examining that law, first let’s examine Paul’s comparable claim. He said, “ Eph 4: 11-14 …he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine…” —Eph 4: 11-14. By this text, Paul give the clear answer to the question, “Why were the gentiles given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, the purveyors of dark speeches?” These were gifts to edifying the body of Christ: in exact harmony with my booster rocket metaphor: Prophets and teachers elevate Christians until, according to Paul, the day of our unity, a day yet future! This being the case, then evidently these gifts must still be in vogue. How then do Christians such as Ryan Day garner the temerity to taunt and reproach Adventists for their trust of EGW’s prophetic ordination? They do so by a spirit that Christ condemned, called hypocrisy. Yet, they claim to be His —not Satan’s— disciples as they ridicule the Lord’s gifts to the Church. This even though EGW indeed passes Paul’s simple test of inspiration: Her work elevated Christianity. Yet, having stagnated these past 10 generations, the work of their own Christian heroes yielded only Sesame Street Christians. Remember, evangelists, pastors and teachers, Paul declares, were given the very same honor as that of the prophets: the goal to edify or elevate the body of Christ!…
