John 17 shows to our generation that the title, God of the world, was vested in Jesus, but that was after Christ finished His work for the Hebrews, His people; in other words, it was given to Jesus 1500 years after Sinai. Not knowing this, then for any to cite Jesus and claim that He is Christ, the God of Israel —be they apostle, prophet, evangelist, et al— is to violate the precept of Deut 18 and to prophesy presumptuously. Deut 18 promised that such a soul shall die —and all have so passed these last 2000 years. But all should know, there is only One God; yet, per John 5, He gave power of Attorney, ie the order of Melchizedek, first to Christ, then to Jesus, then to the son of David: Those who dishonor their work, even with quotes from EGW and VTH, again per John 5, dishonor the Father…
