Excerpt:…But dallying no longer, we must gather full meaning from Jacob’s promise to Judah: to reiterate and to read a little more, he says, “8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies … 10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. 11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:” —Gen 49: 8-11. With this, we have even more poetic meaning to land home and we can now behold why Shiloh is honored above all his brethren. He is so honored because he washes his garments in wine, the blood of grapes. Wine, as proven below, symbolizes the aging truth delivered 2000 years ago to humanity by Christ.
