Jer 30: 7-9

Excerpt:…On Zion, the SDA Church, much has been already shown. Jerusalem, a separate group, is our narrower focus today. As shown, that is the Lord’s nickname for ancient Israel’s government, her congressional delegation. 2500 years ago, actual and ancient Assyria dispersed Jerusalem into Africa, and her double, America, centuries later, repeated the affliction when she transported them here to her shores in shackles. We can doubly apply this prophecy to our day because the Lord elevates His disciples to judge; thusly today the Assyrian yoke must be broken, not by Christ but by Jesus, He who is the Lord of the gentile host and is thusly called the Lord of Hosts, He is the power during the time of the gentile church, requiring Christ to wait until now for His own re-empowerment. But at the end of His time of waiting, the reins are transferred from Jesus to Christ that He may empower the son of David to rule. Thusly, He promised, “…in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” The prophet Jeremiah gives more elaboration on this point: “: 7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. 8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, 8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.”—Jer 30: 7-9. Notice, a key point: both Israel and some one else called strangers or the righteous gentiles are promised to serve —not Jesus but— One whom He, the Lord of Hosts promises to raise. They serve the Lord and David…
