Rev 3:20-21

 

Excerpt: …David is our peace, and all references to salvation reflect upon the promise of —not God’s only begotten son but— to the descendant son of David. He whom Jesus called the overcomer when He made a special promise to seat him, on His, Jesus’ throne. He said, “ 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” —Rev 3: 20, 21.  Wow! Did you get it? —Jesus’ has a throne that is separate from and subordinate to the throne upon which He, Jesus now sits, Fathers! Psalms, 89, cited more fully on your screen, shows that Christ tells David that He found his, David’s, counterpart, his succedent David. His blossom is therefore expressed in a poetic rendition of how David’s son becomes David to inherit his Forefather’s authority. This wins for him the seat on Jesus’ throne. Thus does the Lord say to His holy one, David, that He found David, one that is mighty, and that His arm, Jesus, shall strengthen David. Therefore, David, the quintessential Jew was a harbinger of his future sons ultimate dominion giving refinement to this Jewish soliloquy that shall yield peace on earth…
