Rom 11: 12-32​ 

Excerpt:…only in this way can the world be juged. Jerusalem was punished because they did not believe. But now, in the judgment, the gentiles have proven to be worse. Instead of celebrating God’s favor to them for their walk by faith, they became “highminded” and —to the blasphemy of Christ’s honor— they championed themselves to be superior to Jacob. The handful who resisted and continued to advance in their walk by faith are rewarded above the world to be in Zion, Noah’s blessed station. And they are commissioned to redirect their gospel to the sons of America’s former slaves. The daughters amongst them and Jerusalem’s mourners, her liberal sympathizers, become included in this new evangelism. Paul said, “ Now if the fall of them be the riches of the … Gentiles; how much more their fulness? For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy … 20well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear … 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee (gentiles), goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 … for God is able to graff them in again … 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes … 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.” —Rom 11: 12-32. So now, by Paul we see the Mercy seat more clearly. This verdict, Christ has awaited, these past 3000 years, that He may quench Jerusalem’s fire. The gentiles, “the holy lump”, to sustain their standing, must show mercy…
