April 12th, 2025 :: Sabbath-School Review

Janae Beckford Reporting Sabbath School Coordinator (SSC)

On this Sabbath morning we had the enjoyment of reuniting with the MSA Disciples Indeed through the regular Zoom video conference to venture deeper into the book 3.1, Jacob’s Triumphant Triunity, pages 56-71 breaking at the second paragraph of the chapter, “Rings Around the Rose”.

As we delved deep into the reading of “JACOB SUPPLANTS LABAN” we learned that Jacob’s journey in Laban’s house proves that he, Jacob, can “appropriate to himself the prize of others which they failed to faithfully use.” (pg. 56 par.2).  And that his work under Laban’s house, is the symbolism of the journey from the SDA church towards the Kingdom as the saints shift their focus to “another group, (their own who are), outside of the house…” (pg. 56 par.3).  This shift is supported by the Isaiah-58 commission that today we “draw out (our) soul(s) to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul.”

Focusing on Genesis 30:27-32,37-42; 31:1 we learned that the animals were not only symbolic of people but also represented doctrine, strong meat doctrine. Like so in the Antitype: The currency is in Jesus’ Testimony, His meat; it wins the nourishment of our salvation making us to likewise be reforged without blemished.

Remarkably, in the few pages of this week’s study, we learned of Jacob’s transformation as a teacher: He began this transformation in the field with his family to prepare them to leave Laban’s house that is now deemed to be a house of disfavor to the saints.  Davidia, the lesson suggest, is in the venture of this same proverbial advancement, their commensurate antitypical journey to the Kingdom.

The hour of study almost exhausted, we became cognizant that “Christ no longer seeks to produce blemished doctrine because it yields a blemished people and a blemished church… and today we must prepare to be sent, we must gain our vision by Washing away the Spittle Clay, (so that) the truth advances as we can bear it…” pg.71 par.1. … The production of “unblemished animals from the herd or the flocks (i.e.) strong-meat doctrines (gives to us a) consistent … skin cover, (which is) the Testimony of Jesuspg. 64 par.1

Perhaps a re-examination of the above cited pages will more greatly confirm this summary so that you may join us as we proceed to our next weekly Sabbath-School session on April 19,2025.
